Duskshadow Draught
A small glass phial holds a swirling, inky liquid that seems to move of its own accord. The liquid clings to the inside of the glass like living shadow, and the stopper is a cone of obsidian that drinks in any light near it. When uncorked, a cool, whispering chill rises from the vial as shadows coil around the drinker.
Lore
Born from the shadow-forges of the night markets near Umbra Harbor, duskshadow alchemists capture the essence of pure shadow and bind it into potions. They say the drink grants shelter from the dark as if a living guardian leans close; many rangers and scouts keep a vial for nights when the world seems to weigh down with gloom.
History
The first refined batch was created to aid a caravan crossing a necrotic ruin. Each traveler claimed the shadows wrapped around them like a protective cloak, and none was seized by fear as dawn approached. The recipe was passed down through the Nightveil Conclave, a guild of shadow alchemists who barter with the darkness itself.
