Torch of Abyssal Ember
The Torch of Abyssal Ember is a slender, seawater-worn torch. Its shaft appears carved from dark coral and brass, and the head houses a blue-white ember that glows with cold radiance. The wrapping of the handle is sea-green leather, bound with kelp threads. The flame never gutters, even when fully submerged, and the glow leaves behind a pale trail in the water like a waking fish.
Lore
Legends claim this torch was forged by the reef-dwelling arcanists who hunted the depths in search of light that would outshine the sunken wrecks they guarded. They claimed the ember was a gift from a sea spirit that feeds on ships and secrets, granting underwater flame that burns beyond airโyet the flame draws predators as surely as it reveals truth.
History
Ported from the siege of the Sunken Choir, the torch has changed hands many times: snatched from shipwrecks by treasure-seekers, recovered by divers, and hidden among the currents until a new owner would dare to wield it under the sea's watchful eyes.
