Wall-Walker Gloves
Two supple gloves of deep charcoal leather, stitched with copper threads in delicate sigils. The fingertips are reinforced with thin iron filaments that gleam faintly when a move through a wall is attempted. A soft, almost imperceptible tug resonates at the base of each finger when a nearby wall is touched, and a pale blue glow beads along the sigils as a pull is initiated.
Lore
These gloves, known as Wall-Walker Gauntlets, were forged by a hidden guild of thieves who perfected the art of reaching beyond solid barriers. Legends speak of a vault sealed behind a dozen layers of stone, where a single cloth map was drawn through the walls by someone who wore these very gloves. Each pair is believed to carry a shard of the guild's memory, the longing to retrieve what lies beyond a barrier.
History
First created by the reclusive mage-smith Lareth of the Shale Court, they passed through the hands of smugglers, scholars, and escapologists. A notorious rogue named Sylara Nightwhisper wore them to tug a dragon's lair key through a rock wall, and later disappeared into a moonless night with the gloves. They resurfaced in the possession of a traveling circlet of thieves, then vanished again, only for adventurers to claim them once more.
