Lore & Description

Appearance

A carnivorous vine with thick green tendrils and ember-red veins. Its leaves bear burnt edges and sap that glistens with heat. The vine moves with a slow, inexorable crawl, drawn to heat sources and to living warmth. When it closes around a target it secretes a hot, spicy scent that lures further prey.

Behavior & Origins

In heat-dark glades near campfires, Embervines creep toward warmth, feeding on the energy of heat as much as the flesh that emits it. They are patient ambushers, slow to move but relentless once heat is detected.
