Prayerbound Ward. The dragon's scales are etched with prayers. While it is awake, friendly creatures within 15 feet gain a +1 bonus to AC and saving throws against spells.

Innate Spellcasting. The Prayerbound Dragon's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

1st level (4 slots): magic missile, shield

2nd level (3 slots): mirror image, misty step

1/day each: dispel magic

3/day each: bless, shield of faith, protection from evil and good

At will: guidance, detect magic

Cantrips (at will): fire bolt, light, mending

Actions

Multiattack. The dragon makes two Claw attacks and one Bite attack.

Bite. Melee weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (2d10+8) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.

Tail. Melee weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8+4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Breath of Prayer (Recharge 5-6). The dragon exhales radiant prayers in a 40-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 42 (12d6) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.

Legendary Actions

The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.

Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 10 feet must succeed on a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw or take 13 (2d6+6) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone.
