Lore & Description
Appearance
Aetherion stands as a colossal celestial beast, its form a stark blend of living starlight and earthly ruin. Its hide is iron-gray with motes of silvery light, like a night sky stitched into flesh. Great wings, once radiant, are torn and singed, membranes stained with ash and meteorite dust. A mantle of holy sigils clings to its chest, now cracked and dim from the fall. Its eyes burn with feverish gold, and sparks drift from its wounds. When it moves, the surrounding dust glows faintly as if the star it bears fights to burn bright once more.
Behavior & Origins
Long ago, Aetherion was a guardian of the heavens, a star-forged sentinel who kept the nocturne wards of the world. During a celestial war against malevolent forces, a catastrophe hurled the starbeast down to earth. Crashed into the jagged peaks of a remote mountain range, it survived by sheer force of will, but the impact scorched its divine grace and severed bonds with its celestial kin. Now wounded and furious, it roams forests and crags, lashing out at anything that approaches the place of its ruin. Those who would tend its wounds or help restore its honor may earn its wary trust, but most who meet it face a storm of rage and radiant remnants.
