A creature can use its action to make a Strength check against the same DC to free itself.

Camouflage. The vinebrute has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in forested or swamp environments.

Actions

Multiattack. The vinebrute makes two vine whip attacks.

Vine Whip. Melee weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10+5) bludgeoning damage. The vinebrute lashes out with its long, flexible vine.

Devour. The vinebrute can attempt to engulf a Medium or smaller creature restrained by its grasping vines. The target must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 5d8 acid damage and be swallowed whole. A swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, and it takes 10 (3d6) acid damage at the start of each of the vinebrute's turns. A creature can escape by using its action to make a Strength check against the DC.
