Lore & Description
Appearance
A towering ogre whose skin resembles rough bark, mottled green-brown with patches of bioluminescent mushrooms. Its greatclub is a living fungal appendage, steadily sprouting pale spores that drift with each swing. When the club lands a hit, a shower of spores erupts, turning the air sweet and musty as a thin fog crawls outward. The ogre's eyes glow faintly with green light, and its massive frame moves with a patient, almost plantlike precision. The fungal bloom within its chest pulses with each strike, threatening to overtake more of its surroundings with creeping spores.
Behavior & Origins
In damp forests and swampy clearings, this fungal-possessed ogre roams, spreading its spores with every blow. The mycelium inside the beast feeds on fear and warmth, propagating more spores as the ogre fights. Travelers who survive its onslaught often leave behind patches of fungal growth, as if the monster seeds the land for future hunts.
